Kathleen Kinsella is a PhD Candidate working with Dr. Dunn. She is jointly supervised by the Department of Health, Aging and Society, and the Department of Geography at McMaster University. Her research interests include the relationships between health, neighbourhoods and housing; place-based policy; income disparity and segregation; and children’s urban environments. In particular, Kathleen is currently studying market-based approaches to affordable housing with an emphasis on opportunities based in the municipal policy environment.
Kathleen has also been trained, and works, as a Field Research Assistant with the Hamilton Neighbourhoods Study at CRUNCH. She looks forward to participating in contributing to CRUNCH’s goals in diverse ways over the course of her program of study.
