Dr. Hanna Tervanotko joins the Department of Religious Studies

Dr. Tervanotko joins McMaster's Department of Religious Studies in the Fall of 2017. Her interests include women in antiquity, Qumran, and Jewish interpretation of scripture.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Hanna Tervanotko (Ph.D. Vienna; Th.D. Helsinki) has been appointed as assistant professor in the Department of Religious Studies. She is the author of Denying Her Voice: The Figure of Miriam in Ancient Jewish Literature and numerous articles and essays. Her research and teaching interests include Second Temple Judaism, women in ancient Judaism, and prophetic figures and texts in antiquity.
